Selena Gomez has released another song only one day after her last and, as with the first, fans are convinced she was singing about Justin Bieber and their broken relationship.
On Wednesday, October 23, 2019, Selena released “Lose You To Love Me”, a song listeners believe hints at her relationship with Justin, how he promised to love her forever only to replace her after only two months.
Today, October 24, the 27-year-old singer, who dated Justin Bieber on and off from 2009 to 2018, released another titled “Look At Her Now.” In this one, she talks about moving on from a man who broke her heart.
“They fell in love one summer/A little too wild for each other/Shiny ’til it wasn’t/Feels good ’til it doesn’t,” Selena sings.
“It was her first real lover/His too ’til he had another/Oh God when she found out/Trust levels went way down,” Gomez sings.
Justin and Selena started dating when they were kids and continued into adulthood, until Justin began dating his now-wife, Hailey only months after he and Selena split.
Selena continues singing: “Of course she was sad/But now she’s glad she dodged a bullet.
“Took a few years/To soak up the tears/But look at her now/Watch her go”.
Gomez announced the new song on Instagram.
She wrote in a statement: “This song was inspired by many things that have happened in my life since releasing my last album. I thought it was important to share the music, as I know many can relate to the fact that the road to self-discovery generally comes through the scars in one’s life.”
