A female student of Olabisi Onabanjo University, who falsely accused a food vendor of using human corpse to cook, has apologized.
The student identified as Mide took to Twitter days ago to accuse a food vendor of using water from bathing dead bodies to prepare food for the public at her restaurant.
The student’s allegations caused chaos on social media, as other OAU students o became scared of going to patronize the woman.
Retracting her statement on Twitter, Mide apologized to the woman for carting the woman
In a video shared online the elderly woman was seen crying as she and her family apologized at the palace of Ebumawe of Ago-Iwoye.
“Today, 31st March 2021, I tendered my Unreserved Apology to LAT for The Misinformation that Occurred day before Yesterday, I understand that I have done a lot of Harm and Damage to her Personality and Business, but I am really Sorry and I Hope she will Forgive me.
It was disheartening watching LAT going through a hard time because of an unverified information. Once again I apologize and retract my statement”. She said.
