Prophet Okose, who was a former singer, has stirred controversy online by asserting that having se.x before marriage is not a sin.
He shared his views on Facebook, challenging traditional religious teachings.
In his post, Okose argues that there is no explicit divine commandment against premarital se.x.
He believes that these prohibitions are based on human interpretations and rules rather than direct orders from God.
The prophet questioned the common beliefs about premarital sex, suggesting that it’s unrealistic to expect loving couples to avoid physical intimacy.
In his words, “Abuse me or call me fake prophet, I stand my ground to say! Sex before marriage is not a sin. God never gave that law; man did. Study your Bible well.”
He added, “There are a lot of things believers practice that were suggestions of man, not God. Even the matter of divorce—God said, ‘I hate it.’ Hating something doesn’t mean it can’t happen.”
Okose also criticized religious leaders, saying, “We live in a generation of religiously confused leaders who have transferred their confusion to the congregation, and now we have a bunch of confused people who think as their leader thinks.”
He questioned, “Tell me, how do you love someone deeply, both of you have serious affection for each other, and you’re telling me sex will not be involved?”
Finally, he warned, “Do you know how many people who said ‘no sex before marriage’ still end up marrying Satan’s son as a husband? May God deliver this generation from confused leaders.”
