Labour Party’s Peter Obi has donated the sum of N50m to Borno flood victims. Obi led a delegation to Borno State to support victims of the recent devastating floods.
Accompanied by Senator Nenadi Usman and Datti Baba-Ahmed, Obi paid a solidarity visit to Governor Babagana Zulum, donating ₦50 million.
The delegation met with:
– Shehu of Borno, Abubakar Ibn Umar Garba Al Amin El-Kanemi
– Visited affected areas:
– Bank of the North spare parts market
– IDP camp in Government College
– A woman who lost her newborn twins to the flood
Obi assured ongoing Labour Party support beyond the initial donation, praising Borno State government’s intervention.
“We will continue to stand with the people of Borno, providing aid and resources to help them rebuild and recover,” Obi promised.
