Police arrest, detain sacked DSS boss, Lawal Daura

BREAKING: Police arrest, detain sacked DSS boss, Lawal Daura

According to the online medium, Sahara Reporters, Daura was arrested by a combined team of the police and the Special Anti-Robbery Squad (SARS) for “breaching national security”.

News of the arrest was said to have sparked wild jubilation at the DSS headquarters.

Daura is currently being allegedly detained at the SARS headquarters.

 

Recall, Earlier on Acting President Yesi Osinbajo had announced the sack of Daura via a statement by his media aide, Laolu Akande without stating the reason. The sack was announce while he (Daura) was meeting with the acting President.

About 10 minutes later, Acting President described as unauthorized takeover of the National Assembly complex earlier today as a gross violation of constitutional order, rule of law and all acceptable notions of law and order.

The acting president in statement by Akande said “the unlawful act which was done without the knowledge of the Presidency is condemnable and completely unacceptable.

” By this statement, Professor Osinbajo is consequently assuring Nigerians that all persons within the law enforcement apparatus who participated in this travesty will be identified and subjected to appropriate disciplinary action.”
