Prince Andrew claims he has secured the funds needed to stay at his £30 million residence, Royal Lodge, in Windsor.
According to recent reports, his finances have been approved by Sir Michael Stevens, the Keeper of the Privy Purse.
Last month, King Charles stopped funding the Duke of York’s £3 million-a-year security at the 30-room estate, prompting questions about whether Andrew could afford to live there on his own.
Sources from the Palace and Crown Estate believe that while Andrew may be able to cover the costs for Royal Lodge for a year or two, his financial situation may not be sustainable long-term.
Royal writer Robert Hardman shared this in ‘Charles III: New King. New Court. The Inside Story’.
An insider reportedly told Hardman that if Andrew needs more financial support in the future, the options provided by the King “may be more limited and less appealing.”
