Actress Regina Daniels has faced mockery from netizens following a video she posted about the ongoing #EndBadGovernance protests.
On her verified Instagram profile on August 7, 2024, Regina Daniels expressed anger towards protesters in the north and other parts of the country. She criticized the display of Russian flags during protests and claimed the movement has been taken over by hoodlums who are not promoting peace.
Regina Daniels, whose husband Ned Nwoko is a senator, acknowledged that people often accuse her of being privileged when she speaks against violent protests. She insisted that she is not advocating for the government or seeking approval, but is firmly against the violence occurring in the north.
She emphasized her point by mentioning that she employs staff, including nannies, chefs, and gatemen, and understands the importance of providing security and covering extra expenses. She concluded that Nigeria cannot be changed overnight or by a single individual.
Her video did not sit well with many Nigerians, who flooded her comment section. They argued that, as a senator’s wife, she cannot fully grasp the extent of the suffering people are enduring, and criticized her for raising her voice against them.
