Rema has revealed how fake colleagues inspired his song. He shared the story during a listening party for his second album, βHe Isβ.

He expressed that the industry is filled with insincere individuals, which inspired his song βNow I Know.β
Rema explained that the song is about recognizing genuine support amidst the fake and real people in the industry.
He emphasized that when someone shows genuine appreciation, itβs authentic and not a pursuit of clout.
Remaβs album, released through Mavin Records, features 11 tracks and collaborations with Shallipopi and Odumodublvck.
He said:
βThere are a lot of fake people in the [music] industry, the industry is fake. So when people come and say βYo, I love this guy,β nobody should come at them that theyβre chasing clout. No, itβs real.
βWhen somebody comes out itβs because theyβve seen someone thatβs real among everybody in the crazy industry mixed with both the fake and the real. And thatβs what this song [βNow I Know] is all about. Now I know who dey for me. All those I loved turned enemies. Now I know who dey for me. All those I trust turned enemies.β
