Nigerian singer Rema, born Divine Ikubor, has confidently included his position in the Afrobeats scene, dismissing any suggestions that he doesn’t belong alongside industry giants Wizkid, Davido, and Burna Boy.
In response to criticism over his recent tweet declaring a “Big 4,” Rema asserted his status in the industry, addressing the debate in his latest release, “Hehehe”.
In the song, Rema boldly declares, “No more big 3, there’s now a big 4. People can talk, but what’s the point? They may say I don’t deserve it, but that’s an insult.”
With this statement, Rema unequivocally asserts his place among Afrobeats superstars, refusing to be relegated to a lower tier.
