A Russian conscripts has been arrested after shooting 8 fellow servicemen dead following a nervous breakdown he suffered.
While the soldier who is serving in far east part of the country has been detained, two other soldiers who suffered injuries that are not threatening are currently being treated in a military hospital.
The Defense Ministry statement which confirmed the incident which occurred atΒ Zabaikalsk region didΒ not say why the conscriptΒ suffered a nervous breakdown, Interfax however reported thatΒ the shooting occurred at a time when the guard was being changed at the base.
