But, even with a man less, Diego Simeone’s men kept their compact shape at the back, but all that hard work was undone in the 78th minute. This time, Hermoso bundled down substitute, Diogo Jota in the box and the referee awarded the spot kick after clearance from the VAR.Liverpool would go on to claim all three points.
