Hillary Gardee, the daughter of former EFF secretary-general and attorney Godrich Gardee, has been found dead.
The body of the 28-year-old woman was found abandoned outside Mbombela in Mpumalanga after she went missing last week.
In a statement released by the EFF, the party said her family is distraught at the news.
“The body of Hillary Gardee was found abandoned outside Mbombela in Mpumalanga, after she had gone missing on the 29th of April 2022. This heartbreaking news has left the Gardee family distraught, and the collective leadership of the EFF at a loss for words,” said EFF spokesperson Sinawo Tambo
she was last seen when she went shopping at a plaza in Mbombela.
“Hilary Indira Gardee, aged 28, was born in Lagos, Nigeria, in 1994. She was the first born daughter of commissar Godrich Gardee and her loss has left immeasurable devastation as he grapples with the pain of losing a child in such a callous, cruel and inhumane manner,” Tambo said.
