Sugar Belly criticized John Boyega for his regal Nigerian traditional outfit he wore for the premiere of Star Wars in London.
Boyega known for his role as Finn in Star Wars had stepped out on December 19, 2019 in a regal blue traditional outfit for the priemere of Star Wars latest season in London and it got several praises and thumbs up from fashion and style blogs who gave credit to him for choosing to go African.
Social media user SugarBelly however had a different opinion as she took to her social media page to question John Boyega for choosing the outfit which she considers an Hausa wear instead of Yoruba outfits.
She wrote;
I don’t understand the choice to wear Hausa clothes instead of Yoruba clothes.
Both the hat and the babanriga are Hausa style.
The comment caught Boyega’s attention and he responded, he wrote;
