21-year-old suspected serial scammer,Β Emmanuel O. Israel, pictured above, has been arrested by men of the Delta state police command, has been arrested by men of the Delta state police command for posng as ”Ned Nwoko Jnr”,Β the supposed son of billionaire businessman and husband of actress Regina Daniels, Ned Nwoko.
Israel who was operating with the fake name, Emzy Ned Nwoko Jnr on social media, was arrested in Mbiama, Ahoada West Local Government Area of Port harcourt, Rivers State at his friend’s place after many months of investigation.
According to the police, Israel operated scam Facebook, twitter,Β WhatsApp and emailsΒ to hoodwink the public and defraud unsuspecting Nigerians. The police says that in many instances, Israel met withΒ unsuspecting members of the public andΒ extorted money from them after promising them he will help secureΒ financial deals and sundry favours for them.
HeΒ was arrested alongside his sister, Love Israel,Β for criminal impersonation , conspiracy, defamation of character and conduct likely to threaten public peace, crimes that portend long prison terms.
The police says the suspectsΒ will be charged to court soon.
