An unfortunate incident has hit a family as their 9-year-old son was crushed to death after a television set dropped him on Sunday dawn while he was sleeping.
The incident occurred at Nsuaem in the Bosome Freho District of the Ashanti Region, Adom TV reports.
The deceased, whose name was only given as Kwame Asamoah was sleeping in the same room with his parents and his younger sibling when the 34 inches television set fell on his head, killing him instantly.
Father of the deceased, Kofi Kennedy in an interview on Adom News said the boy while sleeping on the floor with his sibling hit himself against the table on which the TV was sitting while turning himself.
The TV, according to the father, slipped from the table and fell on the boy who was sleeping on the floor.
Mr. Kennedy added that, his wife has been hospitalized and cannot speak after the incident occurred.
