Singer Naira Marley is still in Ikoyi prison after he ws arrested by the EFCC and detained until bail conditions ordered by the court are met.
Marlians are still wondering why Naira Marley who was arrested by the EFCC and detained for alleged criminal offences, including internet fraud, and was granted bail days ago is still in prison custody.
Naira Marley who was granted bail by the court, May 30th is yet to be released from Ikoyi Prison because he is yet to find a Lagos state Level 10 and above civil service officer with landed properties to stand as surety for him, due to his alleged criminal records.
His management had earlier announced that he will be released from Ikoyi prison in Lagos state on Monday, June 3 after his bail is perfected and the court confirms the bail conditions are met.
A social activist took to Twitter to reveal the real reason he is still in Ikoyi Prison.
Naira Marley can’t get a level 10 officer to stand for him as surety. Where are all the marlians? If your parents are level 10 officer tell them to go and stand for him 🤗

The court ordered that Naira Marley must provide Two Million Naira (2,000,000) bond, and two sureties, one with a landed property and the other, a Civil Servant, not lower than a level 10 officer. The judge also directed EFCC to verify the bail terms before he is released from Ikoyi Prison.
Marlians who had earlier declared May 30th as Marlian Day are disappointed that the singer is still in prison custody even after bail has been granted.
