Toke Makinwa who suffered severe backlash after photos from her nude promotional campaign shoot surfaced, has revealed why she settled for that.
The media personality who revealed what her brand Glow by TM is all about in an Instagram post, said at some point her skin fell apart and as a product junkie, she will try out different ones and she was just looking out for the fair skin magic.
Toke Makinwa wrote;
Worked so hard on my own skin care line, I can’t wait to share it with you all. The journey to clean, brighter, clearer, is no joke, I’ve had points where my whole skin fell apart and as a product Junkie, I’ll try on different ones just looking for that magic been to a lot of beauty fairs too.

The‘On Becoming’ author had stated that “When you glow there is nothing to hide,” a statement some of her fans strongly disagreed with as it has incurred their wrath, and she has received massive backlash for the post.
Toke Makinwa is famous for her fashion prowess but a nude post took her fans by surprise.
“Please, must you be naked to prove that point” @dinma_lc posted.
“You’re legit one of the biggest hypocrite I’ve ever come across. You preach about Christianity every day but never have I seen you in church. You spend even your Passover nights at clubs, yet you’ll come online and be preaching the gospel, gospel according to Toke right? Don’t try and streamline the word of God to how it fits you and your business. You have pursued materialistic things to the point of this to sell a product”, was the comment of another fan.
@Iamsplufik went as far as blaming Toke for her divorce from ex husband,
“Why won’t you be single? Maybe your husband saw this coming before dumping you, and some fools are busy hyping this naked pics, where are your morals Toke?”
