Two persons were killed on Monday following a fire incident in the house of a former governor of Oyo State, the late Adebayo Alao-Akala, in Ogbomoso
The General Manager of Oyo State Fire Service, Akinyinka Akinyemiju, announced the fire incident in a statement on Monday.
Alao-Akala, whose house is located in the Randa area of Ogbomoso, died in 2022 following a protracted illness.
Akinyemiju, while confirming the incident, said, “The agency received a distress call around 7:57 am on Monday, after which officers immediately swung into action to stop the fire.
