UCL: Liverpool dumps Bayern out.

After an incredibly entertaining affair, Liverpool progress to the quarter-finals after beating Bayern Munich away from home.

Mane opened the scoring for the away side after 26 minutes with a delightful goal before Matip turned the ball into the back of his own net 13 minutes later following Gnabry’s cross from the right.

Van Dijk restored Liverpool’s lead on the 69th minute when his powerful header from Milner’s corner flew beyond Neuer, before Mane sealed the tie with a close-range finish after 84 minutes.

After exiting the Champions League following their defeat to Liverpool, Bayern host Mainz in their next Bundesliga match as they look to return to winning ways.

The visitors, meanwhile, will have to wait until the 15th of March before they find out their quarter-final opponents but do return to domestic action this weekend with an away fixture against Fulham.
