Leny Yoro, a highly sought-after centre-back, is set to travel to the UK for a medical evaluation and to finalize personal terms with Manchester United.
The clubs have agreed on a transfer fee of €62million, but the deal is still subject to Yoro’s approval.
Initially, he preferred to join Real Madrid, but they have not met Lille’s asking price.
As a result, Lille has favored a deal with Manchester United, seeking to avoid losing Yoro on a free transfer when his contract expires in 2025.
Although Yoro has warmed up to the idea of joining Manchester United, the transfer is not yet complete.
If successful, Manchester United will secure a highly regarded young player to bolster their defense.
Other clubs, including Paris Saint-Germain and Liverpool, have also shown interest in Yoro, but Manchester United’s persistence has put them in a strong position to complete the transfer.
