Martin Otse, known as VeryDarkMan, has accused the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike, of attempting to intimidate #EndBadGovernanceInNigeria protesters by limiting their demonstration to the Moshood Abiola National Stadium in Abuja.
VDM argued that the protesters, who are not footballers, have no need to gather at the stadium.
Moments before police deployed teargas at the Berger Roundabout in Abuja on Friday, Otse urged President Bola Tinubu to address the protesters’ concerns.
He also cautioned the protesters against resorting to violence, stating that he would personally report any individuals engaging in violent behavior to the authorities.
The nationwide protest, which began on Thursday in Abuja and other parts of the country, aims to bring attention to issues of hunger and poor governance.
