Property and valuables worth millions of Naira, were destroyed in the inferno.
The actress confirmed the incident on her social media, expressing relief that no lives were lost but admitted she is devastated.
Sharing a video showing the entire house was burnt, she captioned it;
“Devastated, I thank God no life was lost. It is well.”
The fire comes just days before the premiere of her new movie, Thinline, which is set to debut in cinemas.
This unfortunate event follows Mercy’s recent recognition at the Odunlade Adekola Film Production Awards (OAFP), where she received another accolade for her contributions to Nollywood.
The actress expressed gratitude for the journey in her career, reflecting on her achievements while preparing to move forward from this setback.
