A woman kidnapped one of her own teen relatives before handing her to a female paedophile pal who then sexually abused her, a court heard.
Shannon Hinton, 40, was convicted of abducting the child, 13, from her home in Hattiesburg, Mississippi, in November 2017 then taking her to pervert Natlie Lett.
The distressed schoolgirl was found by police four days later.
Lett admitted sexual battery in February, and was sentenced to 30 years jail during a hearing last week.
If she behaves herself inside she will serve nine years behind bars, with the remainder of her sentence suspended.
Hinton, who was convicted of accessory before the fact of sexual battery will be sentenced at a later date. She faces up to life in prison.
The kidnapper brought the youngster to Lett’s house in Biloxi, Mississipi, then left her there for the sexual predator to abuse.
The youngster’s disappearance sparked a widespread search at the time, with her panicked mother appealing for her to return home.
After she was discovered at the house by police, she was reunited with her family.
Announcing Hinton’s conviction in a press release, prosecutor Patricia Burchell said: “Crimes against children cannot be tolerated in our society and will not be tolerated in this community.
“We will use all of the resources at our disposal to protect our children. Those who commit these crimes will be held accountable and brought to justice.”
