Police officers have arrested a man after he was caught dressed in female Muslim attire.
It was gathered that the 24-year-old suspect, Mutuku Nzambia from Makueni county, Kenya, was exposed by an unnamed person who claimed they spotted a ‘girl’ of suspicious character within their neighbourhood.
According to a police report, officers on patrol visited the house of Idris Kororo, a Somali man, where they found Mutuku and took him in. The suspect dressed in a hijab and bra claimed he was a woman who went by the name Farida Chemutai.
“The owner of the house escaped when he saw the police. At the station, a thorough search was conducted and it was discovered the suspect was male and not female,” the authorities said.
Mutuku will remain in police custody pending a multi-agency interrogation.
