
Three young men who allegedly killed a victim during a robbery operation in Anambra, have been apprehended.
The suspects who were arrested by the Federal Special Anti-robbery Squad (FSARS), Awkuzu, are alleged to be behind the robbing and killing of one Ifeanyi Nwanga in Ifitedunu, Dunukofia Local Government Area of Anambra State.
According to SP Haruna Mohammed, Anambra State Police Public Relations Officer, who disclosed this via a police diary, the suspects, Chimezie Aronu, Uchenna Obiora and Chibuike Omankwu, were arrested at Ire village, Ogidi in Idemili Local Government Area at about 4 am.
Mohammed disclosed that while the late Ifeanyi Nwanga was shot and killed around 4:30 pm on Friday, the FSARS operatives were able to trace and accost them at around 4 am, the next day, less than 24 hours later.
It was also disclosed that the trio were aged 22, 18 and 20 years respectively and have confessed to the crime as well as shown the police where they hid their weapons.
