Nollywood actress Yvonne Jegede has opened up about the reasons behind her divorce, citing financial imbalance and disrespect as the main factors.
In an interview on “The Honest Bunch” podcast, Jegede revealed that she was the primary breadwinner in her marriage, feeling overwhelmed by the sole responsibility of providing for her son.
She also mentioned her ex-husband’s sensitivity to jokes, due to their age difference, as a contributing factor.
Yvonne Jegede expressed regret for prioritizing love over financial stability, stating that she would have chosen financial security over love if given the chance.
This revelation comes three years after she confirmed the end of her marriage to actor Olakunle ‘Abounce’ Fawole in 2019, just a year after their wedding.
