The gesture follows the National Emergency Management Agency’s report that over 23,000 households were affected by the flood, caused by the rupture of the Alau Dam.

Governor Zulum expressed gratitude for Atiku’s kindness, saying, “The people of Borno deeply appreciate this show of solidarity.” Atiku also urged his network to contribute to the relief efforts, demonstrating his dedication to supporting those in need.

This donation aligns with Atiku’s previous humanitarian initiatives, including his support during the COVID-19 pandemic. His visit was welcomed by Senators Mohammed Monguno and Kaka Lawan, representing Borno North and Central, respectively.
