A middle school teacher has pleaded guilty to having sexual relations with a student.
Candace McCray, 37, entered the plea Thursday to engaging in a sex act with a student under the age of 19, according to court documents in Montgomery, USA.
Those documents show McCray had sex with a former student at an undisclosed location between January and February 2018. She was arrested on Feb. 16 and indicted shortly afterward.
McCray, who was scheduled for trial Monday, will serve a 10-year split sentence of two years on probation.
She must also register as a sex offender, court documents indicate.
