VDM Is Part of Nigeria’s Problem for Attacking Others’ Political Choices Without Declaring His Own. His relationship with BurnaBoy is making him see Davido as his enemy — Geh Geh
Media personality Geh Geh has criticised social media activist VeryDarkMan for attacking people over their political choices without openly stating which candidate he supports. He also defended singer Davido’s decision to support his uncle in the Osun State governorship election.
Geh Geh alleged that VeryDarkMan’s friendship with singer Burna Boy had influenced his actions towards Davido, claiming the activist was treating people who oppose Burna Boy as his personal enemies. He drew a comparison with comedian Carter Efe’s relationship with Davido
Geh Geh also condemned VeryDarkMan’s threat to bring Davido down if he became involved in Nigerian politics, insisting that the singer had the right to support any candidate of his choice.
“Even me, if my elder brother were contesting for any political position in this country, would I abandon him to support someone I do not know?” he asked, arguing that Davido should not be expected to abandon his uncle, who is contesting in the Osun governorship election.
However, Geh Geh said
“The only problem I have with Davido is this: the same energy he uses to support his family, why doesn’t he use that same energy for Nigeria?” he said.
Advising Nigerians ahead of the coming elections, Geh Geh warned against allowing admiration for social media personalities to influence their voting decisions.
“Davido does not have the right to tell you who to vote for. Geh Geh does not have the right to tell you who to vote for. Tunde Ednut does not have the right to tell you who to vote for. VeryDarkMan does not have the right to tell you who to vote for,” he said.
He further criticised VeryDarkMan for rejecting different candidates without declaring who he believed was suitable for the country.
“If they mention Obi, he is not the right person. If they mention Sowore, he is not the right person. If they mention Tinubu, he is not the right person. Then who is the right person?” Geh Geh asked.
