Sol Campbell has been criticised for suggesting coronavirus is a man-made disease.
The former Arsenal and England defender continued to say he thought Covid-19 may have been designed to target certain people.
But the Southend manager tweeted a picture of national statistics that show the possibility of heightened risk in black people and women.
Campbell said: “Was this virus a natural mistake or a designed mistake…?
“I wonder does this virus deliberately attacks a certain blood type….?”
