Lock up Mohbad’s Assets Until DNA is Done – Journalist Kemi Olunloyo Warns Family
Nigerian journalist Kemi Olunloyo has reignited the controversy surrounding late singer Mohbad’s paternity dispute, insisting that the singer did not father his son, Liam.
Olunloyo made the claims in a video shared on her social media page on October 30, 2026, while reacting to reports that Mohbad’s father, Joseph Aloba, had called on activist VeryDarkMan (VDM) to speak on the matter.
She maintained that she initiated the DNA controversy in 2023, not VDM, adding that she had discussed it with Mohbad’s father during an interview.
“Everything is not VDM, VDM, VDM,” she said.
Olunloyo urged the family to hire a private lawyer and ensure that Mohbad’s assets remained frozen until Liam’s paternity was established.
“Lock up that boy’s asset, make sure Liam gets nothing, Wunmi gets nothing, nobody gets anything,” she said.
She also questioned the credibility of previous DNA and toxicology reports, insisting that DNA testing could be conducted using swab samples.
“DNA test is not rocket science. DNA swabs,” she added.
Reacting to reports of a secret DNA test scheduled for Saturday, she demanded that the location be made public.
“Location, we need to know the location. Kilode?” she said.
She further challenged Mohbad’s widow, Wunmi, to make Liam available for a DNA test, alleging that the child was not fathered by the singer.
“Wunmi, why is it so hard for you to do the DNA for Liam? Because Liam was not fathered by Mohbad, you know that, I investigated you,” she alleged.
