Man arrested while smuggling bags of Indian hemp into prison

Police in Kano have arrested 52-year-old Hamisu Mamuda while trying to smuggle 12 nylon bags of dry leaves suspected to be Indian Hemp into Kurmawa Correctional Centre, Kano.

Police operatives have also busted the drug cartel of the most wanted drug dealer in the ancient commercial city of Kano, popularly known as Badoo, arresting him alongside eight of his boys.

 

The spokesperson of Kano state Police Command, Superintendent of Police, Abdullahi Haruna Kiyawa, who gave the hint on behalf of the Commissioner of Police, Mr. Mohammed Usaini Gumel, said all the suspects are currently in police dragnet as they would be transferred to the Kano Command of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) upon completion of investigation.
