The Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPCL) has reduced the pump price of Premium Motor Spirit (petrol) just 48 hours after it was hiked across its retail outlets

βOn Tuesday we sold fuel at N955 per litre, but it is now N900,β a pump attendant at one of the Abuja stations confirmed anonymously.
Outside of NNPCL stations, adjustments have also been made. Ranoil and Empire Energy outlets in Gwarimpa reduced their prices to N955 and N950 per litre, respectively, down from N971 and N970.
Meanwhile, MRS filling stations in Abuja maintained their previous rate of N885 per litre, which remained unchanged from Tuesday.
The recent surge in petrol prices across the country had been attributed to a spike in ex-depot prices from Dangote Refinery and other depots.
