Approximately 2,000 ex-service members have withdrawn from the games, alleging it has strayed from its original purpose. Criticism also surfaces regarding Meghan Markle’s involvement, deeming it “too royal.” However, PR specialist Ryan McCormick predicts Harry will disregard these concerns.

McCormick states, “Harry’s acceptance of the ‘Legend of Aviation’ title in January shows he’s unlikely to heed calls to resign from the Invictus Games.” Yet, he suggests such a move could yield positive PR. Veterans express discontent, with GB News host Mark Dolan noting the departure of thousands from the games.

Prince Harry, set to mark the event’s 10th anniversary, will attend a commemorative service at St Paul’s Cathedral in London on May 8. Meghan will accompany him to Nigeria for discussions on the Invictus Games and meetings with military personnel and families.
