Three sons of Hamas leader killed in Gaza- Israeli airstrike

Three sons of Hamas leader Ismail Haniyeh were killed in an Israeli airstrike in Gaza. The strike complicates ongoing negotiations for a ceasefire and hostage deal.

The Israeli military confirmed the attack, targeting three Hamas military operatives in central Gaza. The victims included Amir, Mohammad, and Hazem Haniyeh, according to IDF and ISA.

The strike occurred in Al Shati refugee camp, killing Haniyeh’s grandchildren and the driver. Hamas stated the family was on Eid al-Fitr visits.

Haniyeh condemned the attack, vowing Hamas’s resilience. He dismissed it as a tactic to weaken their stance in negotiations.

Israeli officials stated the strike wasn’t linked to ceasefire talks. CIA Director Bill Burns proposed a deal in Cairo, urging Israel to release more prisoners in exchange for hostages.

However, Hamas struggles to locate 40 Israeli hostages, casting doubts on the negotiation’s progress.
