“My choirmaster boyfriend announced he was getting married to another church member while I was sitting in church” – Lady recounts heartbreak
A Nigerian lady has shared how she was left heartbroken after her boyfriend, who serves as a choirmaster in their church, publicly announced his wedding to another woman during a Thanksgiving service.
In a video shared online, the lady explained that she and the choirmaster, whom she identified as Prosper, had been dating secretly without other church members knowing about their relationship.
According to her, she regularly attended church partly because of him and admired his singing voice and friendly personality.
However, during the church’s Thanksgiving service, Prosper reportedly stood up to give a testimony before announcing that he would be getting married the following month.
The lady said she initially smiled and blushed, thinking he was about to publicly acknowledge their relationship.
Her excitement turned to shock when he called out another choir member, as his bride-to-be.
She explained that she struggled to control her emotions as other church members celebrated the announcement, unaware that she had been dating Prosper.
“I chop breakfast inside church today, Thanksgiving Day,” she lamented.
The lady said she was so overwhelmed by the unexpected announcement that she began shaking and struggled to remain composed throughout the service.
