President Muhammadu Buhari would on Friday, August 3, embark on a 10 working days holiday in the United Kingdom.
This was revealed by the president’s special assistant on media and publicity, Garba Shehu, in a tweet on Wednesday, August 1.
He said that that in compliance with Section 145 (1) of the 1999 Constitution, a letter has been transmitted to the president of the Senate, Bukola Saraki and the speaker, House of Representatives, Yakubu Dogara to that effect.
“In compliance with Section 145 (1) of the 1999 Constitution, a letter has been transmitted to the President of the Senate, and the Speaker, House of Representatives to that effect”, Shehu tweeted.
The presidential spokesman also added that while the president is on vacation, the vice president, Yemi Osinbajo, would be in acting capacity as the president.
Shehu also noted that the President Buhari would be in London for the holiday.
